Datafile: Gestalt Combiner Tech
The Gestalt Combiner process is a process designed by Jhiaxus, the chief scientific officer of Nova Prime, that allows multiple Cybertronions/Gobotronions to combine into to one powerful robot. The first known subjects to undergo the Combiner operation was the group known as the Pretender Monsters. Tragiclly the process devestated the mental states of the entire group and rendered their combined form a psychotic, violent monster that calls itself Monstructor. It was later discovered that the operation failed because the Pretender Monsters had Pretender shells and the two processes conflicted due to their incompatible nature. Ironiclly this causes Monstructor to be even stronger then later combiners that had been upgraded.
After their rampage, the Pretender Monsters were sealed off in a maximum security prison on the outskirts of Iacon by Omega Supreme. Despite protests the Combiner process was not outlawed as a result of this rampage. When the Great War began the number of Cybertronions and Gobotronions undergoing the Combiner process doubled due to the many uses Combiners have in warfare. Now there are as many as three thousand combiners in exsistance, all used for warfare purposes.
Their have been six attempts by the Galactic Council to outlaw Combiner technology all of which have failed due to the small number of species capable of using the tech.

Here we are. I always loved the combiner idea. Here I tried to combine (no pun intended) the classic protrayal of Combiners as common and the IDW continuity's protrayal of it as a dangerous rare technology. And yes I am using IDW's protrayal of Jhiaxus as a mad scientist. Personally I always thought that made him seem more eeeeevilllll!!!!
